Rose’s Legacy Memorial Golf Tournament is a special event to honor and keep alive the spirit of Rose Tomaino while raising money for breast cancer research.

Rose was one of Employee Family Protection’s first employees. She oversaw EFP’s administration division for more than twenty-five years. From EFP’s founding in 1979, Rose was a key contributor to EFP’s “Service First” philosophy which endures today.

Rose passed away in October 2005 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.

Among Rose’s many interests was the game of golf. Regardless of the medical strife in her day-to-day world, Rose always looked forward to getting on the links and enjoyed golf get-a-ways with friends.

In celebration of Rose’s passion for golf, as well as her dedication, tremendous courage, and commitment to EFP, the company established a golf outing in June 2006 for her friends and colleagues as one of the ways to keep her with us.

That annual outing became Rose’s Legacy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research. Rose’s Legacy Memorial Golf Tournament is held each June at Wethersfield Country Club.

It is always a great day of golf, fun, fellowship, remembrance, and hope for a future cure for breast cancer. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit Breast Cancer Research.
