For the sixth year in a row, Employee Family Protection Inc. (EFP), has honored the memory of the late Rose Tomaino by hosting its annual charity golf tournament, “Rose’s Legacy” at the Wethersfield Country Club in Wethersfield.

The tournament raises money for the Connecticut affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for a Cure foundation. The money is put towards cancer research and education initiatives.

On September 22, 2011, Charlie Stepnowski, CEO and Chairman of EFP presented a check to Anne Morris, Executive Director of Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s Connecticut Affiliate, for $43,000. Adding that to the smaller donation this year brings the total contribution by the Rose’s Legacy foundation for 2011 to $43,500 bringing the six-year total to an astounding $246,000.

Rose Tomaino was one of the original employees at EFP 32 years ago when it was founded by Charles Stepnowski. Tomaino worked there until she lost her battle to breast cancer in October of 2005.

Headquartered in Glastonbury, EFP is an employee benefit enrollment and communication firm that celebrated its 32nd anniversary in February 2011.
